When to File a Claim Under the PACT Act

by | Jun 23, 2023 | Veterans Disability Benefits |

Under the PACT Act, which stands for Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics, Veterans who served in U.S. Central Command from 1991 to 2021 in many countries, including Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria, qualify for benefits if they develop certain presumptive conditions related to toxic exposure. The law also extends benefits to Vietnam Veterans with high blood pressure who were exposed to Agent Orange.

A Veteran who falls under the PACT Act should file a claim by August 9, 2023 in order to maximize their benefits. Filing a claim under the PACT Act by August 9, 2023 can allow the benefits to begin retroactively to August 10 of 2022, when the bill was signed by President Biden.

If you think you may have a claim under the PACT Act, please contact the experienced Veterans’ disability attorneys at Gardberg & Kemmerly, P.C.  today for a free case evaluation.
