Helping Hands Beyond Our Firm Doors

On Behalf of | Sep 7, 2021 | Firm News |

Here at Gardberg and Kemmerly we love helping our clients and assisting our community in and out of the office.

Our office just donated a truck load of supplies to assist our neighbors in Louisiana that have been affected by Hurricane Ida. These supplies included nonperishable foods, water, necessities, and personal items. This was made possible with the hard work of our managing partner, Colin Kemmerly, chief operating officer, Christine Cumbie, and all the helping hands and dollars of the entire staff here at the firm. Many pitched in to pick up, load, and donate to make this assistance possible. Our hearts go out to those affected by Hurricane Ida and we will continue to monitor relief efforts and assist as needed.

Another area that is near and dear to the hearts is the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of South Alabama. For the 4th year in a row, we are pleased that someone here at the firm is the Chair for the event. This year’s Chair is Jennifer Byrd, an attorney at the firm. This is Ms. Byrd’s second year as Chair for the event and she served as co-Chair the year before that when I served as Chair from 2018-2019. Additionally, we have Attorney Ryan Seanor, Attorney Lewis Carter, and Legal Assistant Nikki Jackson all serving on the committee for the event in 2021. This year’s event will be held at Cooper Riverside Park, 101 South Water Street, Mobile, AL on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Our office will be hosting several fundraisers for the event. Please contact our office and speak to our office Chair, Noell Espaillat, if you would like to donate to the Gardberg and Kemmerly team. We will be walking in the fight for breast cancer on October 30, 2021 and invite you all to join us. You can register and/or donate at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of South Alabama’s website.

Gardberg and Kemmerly is happy to sponsor a new event this year, the Gong Show for Gulf Coast Dementia Services. The Gong Show event is an entertainment show that is fun and silly just like the old 1970’s Gong Show on television. We invite people of all talents to participate in this event. In addition to the firm sponsoring the event, I am serving on the committee. Dementia has affected my family and I know so many others. Gulf Coast Dementia Services is vital to our community and the rehabilitation and support of individuals and their families dealing with dementia. We invite you to purchase tickets, sign up for talent, or donate to the event here. Due to Covid-19, the Gong Show event has been moved to Thursday evening, October 28th at Alchemy Tavern. This will be a fun festive time to support a vital community resource.

Gardberg and Kemmerly has been supporting and assisting the community for over 30 years. Please call our office at 251-343-1111 for a free consultation on your VA and/or SSA claim. Gardberg & Kemmerly specializes in helping the injured and disabled in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Louisiana.
