So what might cause a disability claim to be denied? Knowing what may cause a claim to be denied, or understanding a claim denial you or a loved one has had in the past is good to moving forward in the right direction. Shockingly, nearly 2/3 of all initial social security disability benefits claims are denied. This is true of even credible claims.

Silly administrative errors like the Social Security Administration being unable to reach you or a lack of sufficient information or documents could be to claim for a denial. If you earn too much money, your disability claim could be denied. Or if a disability claim is based on injury related to drugs or alcohol use, a claim could be denied. It’s important to also follow direction related to the submission of your disability claim.
