Fall 2017 NOSSCR Conference

I recently returned from the NOSSCR (National Organization of Social Security Representatives) Fall 2017 Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. This was a three and a half day learning experience with attorneys, advocates, and representatives from the Social Security Administration. Gardberg and Kemmerly makes it a point to have representation at NOSSCR at least once a year in order to keep up with the most cutting edge information and strategies.

Over the course of the conference, I attended sessions about potential changes to the hearing process, the recently amended treating source rules, proving chronic pain, and cross-examining vocational experts. We can advocate more affectively for our clients when we have all of the knowledge that is shared through these conferences.

In the coming weeks I will post a series of articles highlighting the most interesting and recent developments within the Social Security Disability system. It was a wonderful opportunity to attend the conference and meet with others who are passionate about helping those with disabilities.
