SCHOOL UNIFORM DRIVE

In April of 2015, Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. was invited to attend First Baptist Church of Grand Bay’s second annual Help the Hurting event. The event, coordinated by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Miles, sought to bring information on available social services to the residents of southwest Mobile County. Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. participated in the event along with other community service agencies with representatives from Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy, Bayou Medical Clinic, Providence Health Care, Alabama Career Center, Department of Human Resources, and Housing First. While there, several representatives of our firm were given a tour of First Baptist Church of Grand Bay’s Clothes Closet. Thanks to the donations of many, the Clothes Closet provides free clothing and shoes to the men, women, and children of southwest Mobile County.

In an effort to help First Baptist Church’s Clothes Closet, Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. will be sponsoring a School Uniform Drive. Mr. Miles has told our firm of the great need for children’s uniforms in the Grand Bay Area as many children go to school in dirty, outgrown, and tattered uniforms because many of their families cannot afford to buy new ones. The Uniform Drive will seek to gather a wide selection of uniforms given the different uniform requirements of each school. Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. is asking for donations of the following items:

· Navy or Khaki Pants for Girls and Boys

· Navy or Khaki knee length shorts, skirts, or skorts

· Uniform Polo Style Shirts in any of the below listed colors:

       o Red

       o Navy

       o Dark Green

       o Gold

       o Grey

       o Black

       o White

· White Socks

The School Uniform Drive seeks to provide uniforms to students attending the following area schools: Anna Booth Elementary, Brietling Elementary, St. Elmo Elementary, Dixon Elementary, Castlen Elementary, Haskew Elementary, Grand Bay Middle School, Peter F. Alba Middle School, and Alma Bryant High School. The School Uniform Drive will continue throughout the summer with the last day for drop offs at the Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. office being July 31st. The Clothes Closet will also greatly accept any clothing donations for men, women, and children regardless of whether they are school uniforms. Please join the firm of Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. in helping to provide clothes to the children of our community! If there are any questions about the School Uniform Drive, please contact the law firm of Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. at 251-343-1111.
