Help Fight Crime in Mobile County

by | Jul 14, 2013 | In The Community |

The Mobile Police Department is continuing their tradition and bringing back the Crime Prevention 5K Run/Walk on August 6, 2013. Traditionally, the 5K coincides with National Night Out, a community outreach celebration designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness as well as to generate support for and recruit participation in local anti-crime programs.

This year, the 5K will take runners throughout Mobile’s downtown area, starting at 6:30p.m. at Bienville Square. The race map can be found here. After the race, food and beverages will be provided and door prizes, including airline tickets, will be announced.

The Crime Prevention 5K Run/Walk is a great way to get out and meet your neighbors and local Mobile Police men and women. If you are interested in running, please see the webpage here.
