by | Jan 26, 2011 | Personal Injury |

until you have a chance to talk to a personal injury attorney and find out what your rights and your damages are. Ethics rules prevent personal injury attorneys from contacting you up to 30 days after you have been injured. However, no such rule prevents an insurance adjuster from trying to convince you to sign away your rights. Most personal injury lawyers will give you a free consultation and explain your rights to you. Remember the insurance company relies on its own lawyers to protect their interests (not yours). It is also in the insurance company’s best interest for you to settle as quickly and cheaply as possible before you talk to a lawyer and before you realize the full extent of your damages.
