During the month of February, Gardberg and Kemmerly, P.C. employees collected candy for the women of Home of Grace for Valentine’s Day. Home of Grace is a Christ centered alcohol and drug recovery program located in Eight Mile, Alabama. Home of Grace provides a comprehensive alcohol and drug recovery program for females ages 18 and up. The program is a 12-week residential program that combines the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Led by Sheila Stokley, our intake specialist, Gardberg and Kemmerly was able to make and deliver 36 goodie bags to Home of Grace. The bags included several different kinds of candy as well as fuzzy socks. In addition to the 36 bags for the women of Home of Grace, 14 goodie bags were given to Teen Challenge of Mississippi. The Mission Statement of Teen Challenge states that its goal is to help women overcome “life-controlling problems so as to be mentally sound, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.”
Gardberg and Kemmerly is also having a “dress down” day with all the proceeds being given to Home of Grace. On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, Gardberg and Kemmerly employees will be permitted to wear jeans if they donate to Home of Grace. The money collected will then be given to Home of Grace to fund their mission.
Gardberg and Kemmerly strives to give back to its community that has supported us for over 30 years. Each month, the firm organizes and participates in different types of fundraisers for the various non-profits and charities in our community.
