Personal Injury Follow-up on Testosterone Litigation

by | Jul 28, 2014 | Personal Injury |

In a prior post discussing some of the more common complications and injuries suffered by men taking testosterone therapy medications, also called Low-T, our firm outlined the concerns shared by the Federal Food and Drug Administration. The FDA report can be found here. Interestingly, new litigation news regarding the testosterone and Low-T problems has recently come to light.

The United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) established a consolidated venue for individuals who have been harmed by the use testosterone and Low-T therapy medications. The JPML website is found here, with the specific testosterone and Low-T panel labeled as MDL No. 2545.

Now, plaintiffs who have been injured will be allowed to bring a claim in the Northern District of Illinois before Judge Matthew F. Kennelly. The JPML ruled against the defendant pharmaceutical makers stating that the claims of the injured parties have, “common questions of fact…” The court utilized the findings we discussed in our prior post from the FDA.

Remember, if you or a loved one took a Low T medication and suffered a heart attack, stroke or blood clots, you may have a legal claim for money damages. Call the trusted local lawyers at Gardberg & Kemmerly today.
