HONORING THOSE WHO GAVE ALL WHILE SERVING OUR COUNTRY

by | May 24, 2020 | Memorial Day, Veterans Disability Benefits |

Memorial Day is a day to honor those who gave all while serving our country. We remember those who served and who gave their last full measure of devotion to ensure that the freedom this country offers to all, would be passed on to future generations.

Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day, for the practice of decorating graves with flowers, wreaths and flags which occurred after the Civil War. It was not until 1967 that federal law declared Memorial Day as an official name and holiday. It is customary on Memorial Day to fly the flag at half-staff until noon, and then raise it to the top of the staff until sunset.

On Memorial Day, many will gather to remember. The National Anthem will be played or sung. Veterans in attendance will be recognized and you can be sure, they will be remembering fallen brothers and sisters in ways most cannot imagine.

Managing Partner, Colin Kemmerly, says that Gardberg and Kemmerly will continue to honor our Veterans and it is with grateful hearts and deep gratitude that we remember the dead and say thank you to all military veterans who have served.
