Mobile Project Homeless Connect

On Friday, January 26, 2018, the Mobile Project Homeless Connect will be held at the Fairgrounds in West Mobile. This community event provides a multitude of services for the homeless community of Mobile in one place for one day. From job placement to on-site medical care to legal aid, Project Homeless Connect brings easy access to Mobile’s homeless citizens for varying different services that they may need. Those in the homeless community can receive dental services, haircuts, vision screenings, state IDs, housing assistance, and legal assistance. Several health care facilities, workforce development agencies, nonprofit agencies, and government agencies all attend the Project Homeless Connect. Volunteers include doctors, lawyers, nurses, dentists, social workers, and judges.

The services provided during Project Homeless Connect can make all the difference to the homeless community. I have had the pleasure of volunteering at Project Homeless Connect for 3 years and enjoy the experience each time. It truly makes a difference in the homeless community and is awe-inspiring. I highly recommend volunteering your services or attending the Project Homeless Connect. The investment of your time is a great investment in our community. Project Homeless Connect will be held from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2017 at the Fairgrounds in West Mobile.
